John H. Hatcher, MBA, PE, CPP, CPMP, CSC, CHS III, LEED AP
Senior Principal, President

John is President and a founding principal of HMA Consulting.

John serves as managing principal of the firm. He is responsible for building automation, security, fire alarm, information technology, audio visual and intelligent building systems projects. He provides expertise in the implementation of emerging technologies, project master planning, project programming, contracting methods, system evaluations, operational evaluations, commissioning, budget development and assists in specification writing, and construction administration processes.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Texas A & M University and a Master of Business Administration from Dallas Baptist University.

John’s project experience includes over 30 years as an international specialist consultant operating in low voltage building systems. He is an innovator in the field and routinely presents new system integration technologies to industry conferences worldwide.

John is a Certified Protection Professional (CPP), a Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP), a LEED Accredited Professional, Certified Security Consultant (CSC), a Certified in Homeland Security (CHS) III,  and a Professional Engineer in over 20 states.

John is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), 7 x 24 High Reliability Exchange, Building Commissioning Association, U.S. Green Building Council, the Energy Security Council, the International Association of Professional Security Consultants (IAPSC), ASIS International, and the American Board for Certification in Homeland Security.  John has held national leadership positions in IAPSC and ASIS International.

Matthew Bade, AAS
Principal, Vice President

Matthew is a principal responsible for the design and implementation of access control, CCTV, security, fire alarm, information technology, audio visual, and intelligent building systems. He provides expertise in early project planning, budget development, specification and drawing preparation, detailed project coordination, commissioning, contracting methods, system and operational evaluations, construction administration, and final testing services.

Matthew earned his Associate Applied of Science, Electronic Technology degree from Texas State Technical College. In addition, he has achieved advance training from NFPA Life Safety and is a registered Microsoft Certified Engineer in NT Server.

Matthew’s project experience includes over 25 years in the specialist systems consulting industry. He consistently manages projects of extensive proportion across the United States and abroad.

Matthew is a member of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), ASIS International, the Energy Security Council, the Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE) and the American Society of Heating and Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE).

Brian P. Veazey, PE, LEED AP
Principal

Brian serves as a principal and serves as technology lead responsible for building automation, security, fire alarm, information technology, audio visual and intelligent building systems projects. He provides expertise in the implementation of system evaluations, operational evaluations, commissioning, budget development and assists in specification writing, and construction administration processes.

Brian earned a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University and is currently enrolled in the Texas A&M University Executive MBA program.

Brian’s project experience includes over 12 years as an international specialist consultant operating in low voltage building systems.

Brian is a LEED Accredited Professional and a Professional Engineer in Texas and Tennessee.

Brian is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), Institute for Electronics and Electrical Engineers (IEEE), the Energy Security Council and ASIS International.

John W. Lloyd, PE, CPMP
Senior Project Manager

John is a Senior Project Manager responsible for building automation, security, fire alarm,  and intelligent building systems projects. He provides expertise in the implementation of contracting methods, system evaluations, operational evaluations, commissioning, budget development and assists in specification writing, and construction administration processes.

John earned a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from University of Houston.

John’s project experience includes over 20 years in the design industry.  Before joining HMA, John worked for Worley Parsons Engineering.

John is a Commissioning Process Management Professional (CPMP) and a Professional Engineer in Texas.

John is a member of the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating & Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the Energy Security Council and ASIS International.
