Project: American Airlines Facilities – JFK International Airport
Location: New York, New York

HMA Consulting personnel undertook the design for the retrofit of the American Airlines Terminal, Cargo and Hangar Facilities to incorporate the FAR 107.14 compliant computer based automatic access control and personnel badging systems. The system comprised a computer based access control system using micro-processor based reader decoding panels that provide restricted and monitored access by American Airlines personnel. The system communicated over an existing Sabre digital network using broadband technology. The system provided the protection required by the FAR while not compromising the ability to utilize the dedicated emergency fire exit portals. The access control system was integrated into a personnel time and attendance system to allow a single identification card to be carried by each person.
