HMA Consulting provided building automation system, building security system, fire detection, alarm and communication system and integration consulting services for this prestigious commercial development in Kuala Lumpur. The main architectural features of this project are the 88 story Petronas twin office towers connected at the 41st and 42nd levels by a sky bridge. A third 50 story tower and a planned fourth tower together with the two main towers share a common podium housing a retail center, concert hall, Surau, museum, library, art gallery, banking facility and other facilities. The project exceeds 10 million square feet in space.
A systems integration facility provides an interface between the Building Automation System, Building Security System, Vertical Transportation System and the Fire Detection, Alarm and Communication Systems. HMA designed 15 control rooms throughout the complex and provided on-site full-time supervision during the construction period. The towers were initially occupied in early 1997 and the development was completed in 2002.
