Project: Peter Lougheed Centre

The Peter Lougheed Centre is a 500+ bed general hospital with a 24-hour emergency department. HMA were retained to redesign the pressure, humidity and temperature control for the operating suites and associated areas. The pressure control was critical. It was necessary to maintain the pressure differentials between the operating rooms, sterile corridor, circulation corridor and the recovery rooms at setpoint. A redundant control system was designed and the control system was incorporated into the hospital wide building automation system.
HMA was also retained to design and oversee the relocation of the security control room and the security monitoring of remote facilities.
